DO NOT miss Torvehallerne whether you are going for breakfast, lunch, beer, wine, sweets or what ever. Torvehallerne is like a supermarket where you can get gourmet groceries amoung small restaurants and bakerys. It has both inside and outside seating and is located just by Nørreport Station and Israel Plads, where you can sit a enjoy people riding bikes, roller skating or playing basketball. For breakfast head to GRØD and get a porridge out of the ordinary. Grab it to go and head to Coffee Collective to get a lovely cup of coffee to your meal.
Recommendation: GRØD “Havregrød 1” with caramel, apples and toasted almondst. Coffee Collective the “Iced Latte” is REALLY good!

Wulff & Konstali
Ride your bike or take the Metro to this lovely breakfast place near Amager Strand. The interior of the place is cozy and scandinavian and they have freshly baked bread from their own bakery everyday! They also have vegetarian, lactose free and gluten free options on the menu. You order your food by ticking off on the menu given to you and deliver this at the desk. Usually you order 5 or 7 dishes, but really you can order as many you like out of the 21 dishes – Great right? If you are an early bird, you are lucky as they are open everyday from 7.00 am, Saturday & Sunday from 8.00 am and you should get here early (before 10.00 am) as the place fills up pretty quick. It is not possible to make reservations for breakfast.
Recommendation: Organic skyr (low fat/high protein yoghurt) with rhubarb and rye crumbles – YUM! After having your breakfast take a walk down the promenade of Amager Strand. You WILL need a little exercise after all of the yummy food you will have eaten here.

Mad & Kaffe
This is a great place for breakfast in Vesterbro. They run a certain concept, much like Wulff & Konstali (above) where you choose 3, 5 or 7 dishes, so if you are more than one person you can get to taste almost everything on the menu (you can of course choose as many as you like whether it is 2, 4 or 12). A lot of the dishes are organic and the bread is baked on a delicious sourdough. It has both inside and outside seating and is located on the corner of Oehlenschlægersgade and Sønder Boulevard, a place with a really cool atmosphere and great hangout spot. Get here early preferably when they open at 8.30 to get a table, especially on weekends. Note that it is not possible to make reservations for breakfast.
Recommendation: Try the “Organic Vesterhavs cheese with jam of the day” as one of your dishes.

DAC – Danish Architechture Center
Kill two birds with one stone by having your breakfast/brunch here. It is located by the habour front and has a bookshop, exhibitions and of course a cafe that serves brunch on weekends. The building is a beautiful oldie with low ceiling, exposed beams and wooden floors that squeaks. I would be a good idea to reserve a table and be sure to ask for seats on the balcony. Until September 11th 2016 there is a free photo exhibition called “Abandoned” with a range of photos from the worlds abandoned places and building. If you don’t feel like having your breakfast here, head to Papirøen // Copenhagen Street Food which is just nearby.
Recommendation: Try the “Romkugle” it is outstanding!

Toldboden Havnespiseri & Bar
Here you can enjoy a huge buffet brunch with free-range products from their own farm where the dishes depend on the season. The restaurant is located right at the habour front with Kastellet and Langelinje as its backyard, so you can easily take a walk here, before or after brunching. During summer and if the weather allows, you can sit outside and almost dip your toes in the water, while having coffee or a cold drink with your food. To be sure that you get a table, you should book in advance which is only possible online. The buffet starts at 9.30 am and you will have your table for 2 hours.
Recommendation: Just dig in! Or have some lovely bubbles if you feel like letting your hair down.
